“We’re all mad here” Alice, part two

A beautiful book with Lewis Carroll’s poems that were turned into songs by Lucy Broadwood and were illustrated by Charles James Folkard. (via Learning to Share, an interesting blog).

Mabel Lucie Attwell- The Cheshire Cat

More early 20th century illustrators also captivated by Alice can be found  here , here and here.

Searching for all things Alice in Etsy, I found MANY objects, some vintage, some handmade, some expected but also, some definitely unexpected and original. Some of the finds I liked most:

A fantastic Mad hatter t-shirt, by Bany and Tree Clothing

A set of four door knobs, by  Monkey Shines

Cards by Anne-Julie Aubry

Wooden box by the  The Aviary

Rabbit earrings by  Alessandra Fusi

The Mad Hatter’s top hat charm pendant necklace by LunarraStar Jewellery

Stamps by RetroNana

Set of four notebooks by RetroNana

Retro notepad by JapanKawaiiYa

Steel pendant with silver chain by Untamed Menagerie ["’Curiouser and curiouser!’ Cried Alice (she was so much surprised, that for the moment she quite forgot how to speak good English). ’Now I’m opening out like the largest telescope that ever was! Good-bye, feet!’ (for when she looked down at her feet they seemed to be almost out of sight, they were getting so far off)."  (Chapter 2)]

You can also find some  wonderful vintage books in very good prices in Etsy. Scanned high resolution images from books can be found here.

Finally, I came upon these fantastic teacup stools inspired by Alice

and this surreal chair that looks like a sofa climbing up the wall, made by Lila Jang (via Yatzer).

Yes, I spent hours looking for all these things. But now, that I look at them collected here, I too want to fall in the rabbit hole.
