That’s “Klouvi” a tiny cafe in Petralona, Athens. Klouvi means cage.
We had elections in Greece this past week. The government has changed. I don’t think there is anyone over the age of 7 who could do a worse job at running this country than the previous government. So although I am always suspicious of people in power, I have a tiny bit piece of hope this time, that things are going to get a tiny bit better. That’s all I dare to dream right now given the country I live in and the particular international situation. It doesn’t mean I will be satisfied with very little. The opposite.

I found these at the museum shop. I have been collecting them, although I only have three so far (they are a bit expensive).
Because things at work were so fluid -a nice word that in fact means ‘unstable’- I tried to find solace in weekends. So every Friday afternoon, I’d plan the whole weekend, the exhibitions I wanted to see, the films, the books I’d like to read. That’s why you see all these photos of the things we did outside. And then, on Monday morning, this sinking feeling would settle in again. Because I didn’t know if I’d be able to keep my job for the rest of the week. It was that bad. It’s a bit better now thanks to some people at work, so I can start living throughout the rest of the week too. Even I am bored by my work dramas.
Here’s a song for you. Thank you.
