Autumn motivator: More ways not to do any work at all

My Malevolent Disposition

You like?

1. Match things up: Shoes, belts, dresses, sunglasses. Save your sets (see both of mine above) and even see where you can buy all the things you included. Cry bitter tears when the nice shoes you chose are Christian Louboutin (see orange shoes above) and cost a gazillion euros. More fun and  things you cannot buy at Polyvore.

2. Mygazines: Read magazines online. All magazines, page by page. Actually you can skip ads. I am now reading Country Living and there is a stack of Elle Deco I have to go through.

3. Most Interesting bookshops in the world. Daydream or plan a trip. I am definitely visiting the Selexyz Bookstore in Maastricht. There is also a link to interesting libraries.

4. What should you read next? Let this site decide for you. Just tell it what you just read and it’ll find a nice new book to fall asleep to.

If these do not seem enough to make you stop working, you can always upload your picture in the Hairstyler and find your next haircut. Or even worse, try Rihanna’s hair on your head.

Or  you could just call in sick.

P.S If you have creative procrastination suggestions don’t be mean, share them with me.

    ahahahahah!!

Thanks! Those are great sites! I’m excited about the reading one, I need that. I need to pick a huge book for my holidays, one that will make me forget where I am. And Mygazines may just become my favourite site ever.

There’s a bookstore in Porto on that site, it’s a wonderful place. You can tick your list when you come here and we visit it ;)

I’m guessing I can’t wear white pants in Athens in September? I’m the biggest procrastinator, I’ll be lucky if our suitcases get packed one hour before leaving for the airport and I don’t have any tips for you, in fact I’m looking for some tips myself. If I really get myself together, I’ll be in your fair city next Wednesday…ciao

yesterday, after pretending to work all morning while actually killing time reading blogs, I seriously thought about going home sick cause it was making me sick to procrastinate so much. Thanks for all the tips on ways to kill time (as if I needed any more!). Alright, I WILL type that stupid report up today.

Procrastination is a real problem for me, but the polyvore site is cool. I like your “orange goes with black” picture.
But what do you mean by “autumn motivator”? I hear you have 38°C in Athens. That’s deep summer. No motivation at all. Let’s go to the beach. (Oh man, I miss Greece. Haven’t been there this summer!)
    Well, let’s work a little more then…

by autumn i mean “having to go back to work / school again”, not necessarily autumn in terms of temperature and weather. :)

I am going to Maastricht just to see that bookshop! Thanks for the creative procrastination - I am off to Tuscany to procrastinate in amongst overwhelming beauty :)

I love autumn! (But I don’t have any kids to blow my back-to-school budget on)

Miss visiting you so much. It has been such a difficult summer for me. I am trying to get back to blogging.
    Looking forward to fall.

    Hugs,

I am a procrastinator, too. Autumn isn’t a great help to avoid daydreaming, isn’t it?

I would love to spend more time procrastinating, but I have a difficult project with a deadline (which has passed but hopefully I’m nearly done now), and my computer screen faces the door and my boss and everyone else walking past it can see if I’m slacking off. It gets noticed apparently. Oh well, at least I will achieve more.

I love your procrastination suggestions though!

Wow you are so good! Now that I have a less stressful job, I feel I have more time to explore things on my mac. I just downloaded the trial version of Aperture so that should be exciting!

Oh, I am starting a new blog on wordpress but still trying to figure out how to work it. Maybe I can ask you for help? :-)
