Highlights! plates! aprons! and more exclamation marks

I went to the open market in my neighbourhood (it is held every Wednesday) and I bought these plates for 1 euro each. They were so beautiful I felt sorry for them waiting there to get picked up. I don’t intend to eat in them. However, I did make some nice campanelle with aubergine and zucchini here.

I also bought this silly apron for 2.50 euros. I want to wear it all the time. The school bus driver saw me wearing it while I was waiting for my son to get off the bus (I was out on the balcony, not in the street) and he made the gesture with his right hand that means " What’s the deal?"  Or maybe if he wasn’t so kind, it would mean WTF?

You don’t say

My son sharing a dirty joke with his friends at the local Pizza place. His teeth are okay now. The doctor said it was a strange reaction to the antibiotics probably made worse by all the ribena.

My son has devised this character, who brings bad luck to everyone. He is something like an anti super hero. My son makes his own comic strips starring the jinx  that all end in tears (for the other characters).

New highlights. Well a week old, but I hadn’t had the chance to post anything apart from scary medical scenarios. So you see some very light streaks along with some chocolate ones. Or don’t you? Actually you shouldn’t. My theory is that highlights should not be seen but felt.

I’m glad your son is OK, and it was nothing too serious.

Why wuld you buy plates and not use them? No matter how cheap, to have a purpose and be unfulfilled, well, they might just crack from lonleliness.

Crag, I know what you mean. But their use is to see them on the shelf and their loveliness makes me happy.
But I don’t want them to crack from loneliness. I might eat some ice cream in them once in a while. x

I’m glad your little bud’s doing better. I love his comic! I like the premise of an anti-hero a lot.

I think the Jinx character is brilliant!
The plates are lovely, but not only will they crack from loneliness being too long without any food, but they might commit suicide by jumping off the shelf and shattering. ;D

haahahah the bus driver! I don’t believe it! Over here many women use a sort of a gown when they’re working around the house. It’s a lot worse than an apron.

I like the highlights but I don’t get your theory - are they supposed to be felt? You can gather from here that I never had highlights in my life. They’d never work with my hair colour anyway.

I like the cartoons with the greek characters, it makes me think that your son is a genious that has created his own alphabet or perhaps has studied greek philosophy behind his parents’ back (wearing that head-torch he had)…but then I remember: no, he’s really greek! :)

there are highlights for all hair colours. I meant that they shouldn’t be very obvious, but the knowing eye should be able to tell the difference.

I am so happy you rescued those dishes. They are beautiful. I have always loved aprons. So many different styles and material. They seem to tell a story about where they came from.

So happy your son is doing well.

Your hair looks lovely. The highlights are beautiful.

    Hugs,

    NICE highlights!!!
I’m currently sporting some, too, as part of my pre-summer de-grossing process which also includes hitting the gym hard and getting a tan…
Trouble is, I tried a new highlighting color this time and now I have highlights that are seen, really seen!

Beautiful hair, plates and apron. :)

I’m glad to see that your son is getting better. He looks quite pleased with himself in that picture. :)

How do you say “Happy Easter” in Greek? Also, what is the Greek term for “bullshit”? I promise not to use both in the same sentence!

  • 14. Chloe  |  April 20th, 2008 at 4:31 pm

    hehe
    Happy Easter is Kalo Pasha
and bullshit is malakies pronounced malakee-aes

Your hair looks smashing, dahling! Happy belated Easter! I hear you Geeks, ops! I meant Greeks have some sort of egg smashing ritual? How does that work?

The jinx sounds like a fantastic antihero. Your son is going to be the next Stan Lee.
