This is what I made
Easter candles, for the Easter issue of the magazine. We hold candles during Easter Mass in Greece and these candles are usually adorned. Traditionally, your godmother or godfather brings you your Easter candle, along with a chocolate egg and a pair of shoes.

The obligatory Martha moment

This is what I found
I got these two prints from blackapple. I think she is a great artist and I can’t wait to get them in the post.
-A trip
-A nice birthday
-A new computer
-More time with my friends and family, more sleep, less work
-Picnics
-Nice music. Any suggestions? I am a bit stuck.
Art question
How come Daniel Day Lewis is such an disgustingly good actor? He should be ashamed of himself. I saw him in There Will be Blood and I thought he was out of this world.
What are you best at? (I am not recruiting).

Yesterday I handed in my notice. My wishlist for spring is more time doing what I enjoy, and that does not involve this current position. Time is too valuable to throw away, so come summer, I’ll be working from home. Hopefully… The kids are ecstatic, so am I!
May I suggest a trip to Crete, say, at the end of June?
I am best at … daydreaming, I suppose I should say. I am actually best at nitpicking, but as it’s not life’s most desirable quality, I may add that I’m usually pretty good at making people comfortable. How’s that?
For music, I will always recommend Rufus Wainwright and even his sister, Martha. No voices to match theirs, and Rufus goes straight to my heart. Every time…

What did you finally get at your birthday by M.? I had my birthday 4/3 and i got 2 pairs of earing. I don’t know why 2 different people give almost the same gift. They support that earing is something that absolutely comes with e. I really don’t know.
If you are listening to different kind of music you can try listen encardia, a greek band which plays songs from Kato Italia, tarantelles, etc. I thing that spring comes along with encardia.
I am good at listening to other people. Is that enough?

I didn’t realize at first that those were candles…they look so lovely in amongst all the white flowers. I was temporarily entranced.
As for what I’m good at, I seem to be good at procrastinating, and at surfing the web doing not much of anything. As you can imagine, those two talents go very well together!

I have sent you nice music. It’s a bit of a blast from my past - a bunch of what I was listening to while driving around New England last fall…not much use for spring, I fear. You should get it withing 10 days from last Tuesday, says the post office here in this far-off land. I’m also making a mix of local music, but it’s not ready yet.
I’m afraid I’m best at a number of terribly everyday things. Not much use at all, really.

What are you best at?
I’m great at making people feel safe, and comfortable, but I’m also spontaneous enough that the group I’m leading is never knowing what fun thing is going to happen next. I’m a great conversationalist with an inborn ability to manifest humour and feelings of fun and excitement. I could make a decent living on this alone if I only had a pimp. ;D

I am in love with those pictures on top
And the prints are beautiful. We deserve to spoil ourselves with beautiful things now and then.
Have you listened to The Bird and the Bee? It’s lovely.
I think I might take this opportunity to trying to increase my self-esteem right now, as I feel like poo. I’m good at investigating (aka snooping), listening to people and understanding them, complaining, …oh and crushes, no one is better at having crushes than me.

Another interactive fiesta! You know, I detect a little lift in your mood these days…merely spring fever? or being good prior to your birthday? or just feelin’ saucier than usual in general? Hmmm, and you’re wanting some good music to accompany this spunk…
I’m smart enough to leave the truly nice music suggestions to Devil Mood (could the poo feeling be related to footie?) and others. I mostly listen to hard-driving stuff—heavy metal and hellacious guitar gods like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Andy Timmons—but there has been a hilarious new development on the music front. For the past couple of days I go to Mez’s site (http://tohellyea.blogspot.com/) and just let her playlist go while I work! LOL! I love every single thing on that crazy list that runs the gamut of musical styles and I told her so! I can’t explain that any better than I can Day-Lewis’ success…
But my take on his stellar self is that he’s got all the criticals converging to the one point that is him: he arrived on this planet with charisma and good looks, his family is in cinema so he imbibed it, he went to a great acting school, and most importantly he’s together, takes his career deathly seriously, is the consummate professional…
I would like to say the latter is one of things I’m best at but my tendency toward procrastination works against that! So I’ll say I’m best at writing and drawing. My over-the-top detail-orientedness drove me hard to it! I am my own pawn…gawd…

Those candles are beautiful! So are the blossoms in the tree. Great photos, as usual.
I love those prints.
I’m best at organising things, I think. The sorting, tidying and categorising type of organising, not the making things happen kind of organising.

forgot to mention … I’m also very good at making people feel UNcomfortable, if that’s my aim… And I’m fabulous at being a fan

Music: Pat Metheny, The Way Up
Matthew Good: Avalanche
I’m best at procrastinating with photography a distant second

I love the godfather/mother tradition with the candles.
The eggs are cute too. Do those cracked eggs mean there are purple and blue chickens wandering around now? Or were those purple and blue Easter rabbits?
I’m best at modesty, and as such, can’t answer your question.

Your photos always take my breath away Chloe! Thanks for always so generously sharing them with us! What am I good at? Hmmmm. I think: communicating and caring. I’d like to think, maybe, writing too - but in thruth that’s probably a stretch.

I love your Easter spirit. I bet that is one beautiful tree.
Hope you are doing well.
Always love to stop by and see your fun photographs.
Sending you lots of hugs,

I’m always amazed by people who can make things - candles, dolls from socks, books, beautiful food that tastes good. That makes you a Master of sorts - in my book anyway - that perfect integration of the hand and soul.

What are you best at?
Hmm…
I think I’m best at looking after people and making sure that they are doing okay and are on the right track. - I’m good at listening and helping other people to solve there problems.
