You can. If you tell people early enough. Lately, when I am not translating, I cook to relax. However, yesterday I took a break from cooking in my free time my stolen time, to see what I’d like to get for my birthday in an ideal world. The first thing is this wise owl. It perches on top of computer monitors and connects to your computer via USB. "He provides inspiration and watches over your work. He’ll also move his eyes around and rotate his head as if he’s either appreciating or rolling his eyes at your office antics". Found here

The Diary Shower Curtain: I do my best thinking in the shower, so that should come in handy. "Just like its papery counterpart the Diary Shower Curtain has a space for every day of the year… You even get a special waterproof marker so you can fill the ‘pages’ with reminders, birthdays, anniversaries". I would also make a note of things I’d like to write about in my blog. Found here

These are called 7 sisters rings. I MUST have the 7 sisters. They are the best thing I’ve seen in a long time. I have decided to name each one after a deadly sin. Found here

A Mini Mac, because my PC died

I also need this The HULGER P*PHONE which is suitable for most cellphones (but I wouldn’t use it for that) and connects to your computer and is Skype compatible, which is why I want it. I am not a really retro person, but I think old handsets are really more user friendly. Found here.
Note to M: Please, feel free to get me all of these things.

A friend of mine has a cordless Hulger type phone for his blackberry that he uses while driving. The looks he’s gotten have been near priceless.
All the presents you’ve got listed are wonderful, and I’m adding them to my list, even the 7 sisters. ;D

Nice choices, maybe I can get my husband to buy me one or two of these items for my birthday, LOL, right. I’m dreaming, usually I order my own present and hand it to him to give back to me…ciao

I know when it is! I recently discovered that I’d set a little yahoo calendar reminder . You, and fb soon, too. My earliest ever blog friends.
Are you still in the same place? I’ll e-mail to check right before I mail it.
Also, that sometimes you get what what you if you ask early enough, and then wait ’til the last possible second.

hehe you always find the craziest things.
I had a little doll from Firebox that nodded yes or no when you asked her questions, similar to your smart owl. I used to have a collection of owls, none of them were smart though.
Fantastic shower curtain

Awesome list! …except I wonder about the owl. I know he’s only $26 and that he doesn’t make any obnoxious noises or say anything that could irritate the dickens out of you…but actions do speak louder than words… I don’t know… I think if I was having a hard time of it at the computer and this plastic owl was clipped to my monitor doing the same old things over and over and quite obviously not feeling my pain, I’d want to…well, I just don’t think he’s cute enough to keep me from ripping his cord out of the USB port!
Oh, you KNOW I hope you get everything on your list and more and better! (And that you’ll tell us how it goes with the owl!)
