This is quince with leeks and plums, it’s a special food that smells of cinnamon, very exotic.
I don’t actually eat pink feathers, they are my crazy boudoir decor

This is called bougiourdi, it’s baked feta and fresh tomato sauce and red hot pepper

There were many more around there, the lens is not big enough

Regular post tomorrow: Drama, taxi drivers, deadlines, all you’ve come to expect and more

The bread and bougiourdi are making me hungry.

heheeh wonderful!
I’m glad I just ate, otherwise I’d have to run into my kitchen again.
I didn’t think anyone ate quince! We only use it to make marmelada - isn’t it incredibly sour?
I love the sexy-in-the-boudoir-fruit-can’t-remember-the-english-name (In portuguese we call it romã).
Lovely bread!

Papa
you are invited to lunch

it is, but when it is cooked it brings out its sugar (just like in marmelada) and it’s great. It’s pomegranate, in greek we call it rodi. x

I like the picture with the door and the cats very much!
Looking forward to more taxi stories

Asalways you have a wonderful eye.
I wish my city was as scenic as this. But Old Ottawa just looks old, used, and dirty.Oter cities’ old quarters, such as Vieux Montreal, or Gastown (Vancouver’s old quarter) are picturesque, but then, they’ve been done over for tourists. Old Athens doesn’t look too commercial.

Hope you are doing well.
Sending you lots of hugs,

Fantastic pictures and love that the sky is so blue, something we haven’t seen here in London for a while.
Hope your year is starting off well.

I am coming to visit you. Seriously.

Beautiful. Is this very near your own neighborhood?
I love the “acropolis” sign and of course the cats which a few look famously like my own.
And don’t get me started on the feta concoction. Looks delicious.
You’ll have to make that for me whenever I visit you some day. I was thinking of that today on my drive to work. How wonderful it would be to meet you in person. to hear you voice. That will be interesting!!

It looks so warm!
Your photos are amazing, as always. I would love a cup of that baked feta tomato dish: did you make it?
Have a wonderful Friday, dear friend.

ah, taxi driver stories, we are never short of them.

Old Athens is really my term. All Athens is old. But the part I describe as old Athens is Plaka, and that’s a tiny part. Very tiny. And it is very commercial, I just know the non-commercial parts for which you have to walk 5 minutes more.
Pearl
thank you! got my email? it kept coming back and frustrated me.
Cisco
let me know what happened if you try. i want to see a picture!
Clare
indeed! the sky was so blue that day. It’s not always like that, but it’s more often the case than in London. Which i miss (london). Many wishes to you too.
Maja
thanks
Ash
you are welcome!
Kiki
not really, you have to take the bus but it is not that far. I’ll make you bougiourdi for sure. It’s easy only takes about 10 minutes. You’ll hear my voice, i had uploaded it somewhere, didn’t you know i sound like a mouse?
studio
thanks, i like aimless walks, when I have a reason to walk i don’t see many nice things.
Cathy
Yes I made it, come over and I’ll make you a pot.
