On Christmas day, we thought we’d go for a stroll downtown, before lunch. If an alien was unfortunate enough to land here on Christmas day he / she would have thought that Christmas is a big holiday, when we decorate the city with lights, in order to celebrate the birth of Dora the Explorer.

LOL! What a great photographic report you made!
Dora is so sweet! I haven’t seen much of her around here yet but she makes a change from Santa.

It is good to see that Dora has gone international, even if it is as a mylar baloon.
Happy New Year…

HEHEEE!
So amusing, Chloe! I don’t know what I find more surprising, however: the plethora of Dora balloons or the fact that so many people are out and about on Christmas day: everything is deserted here on Christmas day: people board themselves up indoors with their gifts, family and food.
What else did you do Christmas day? Where did you go for lunch?

So, who is this Dora anyway? I must find out, as I suspect that she (or someone like her) will figure prominently in my not-so-distant future.

people here go out on Christmas day a lot. I’m going to post the rest of the photos and you’ll see. The weather was good, just a bit cloudy, and there were things to see around town (for the kids but i always like these kinds of things). xxx

Dora is a little girl who goes exploring to find something or sometimes offer help to somebody. The viewers at home are asked to help her. She has a monkey Boots, as her best friend. She can get on your nerves a bit. We don’t see her much at home because my son hates her (all boys do) and he prefers Spongebob instead. Good luck with that.

…if Dora hadn’t landed in the ditch, I would have assumed she flew over here! Yes. I must report she celebrated the holidays with little kids in San Francisco, too.
Too cute

I cracked up at these photos - esp the one of her among her people and her in the car. Freaking hilarious. And then your friend calling her a bitch is priceless.

you are so right. I also had only Barbie and Cindy and I didn’t like either of them. I only liked playmobils!
