Varying degrees of grandeur

There are varying degrees of grandeur with which you walk in a room. If you are not a conceited fool, or royalty, it may take you a while to find the grandeur equilibrium that is right for you. For there must be one. I realized today. Some things take a lifetime and then happen in a second. It has nothing to do with majesty or splendour or pomposity. It’s part dignity, part self-knowledge and a slight dose of don’t mess with me. And something else I can’t put my finger on.

This evening I found my own personal degree of grandeur. Upon entering and exiting.

Well, I only hope to find my own some day. It’s still very unclear and variable these days.

  3. Papa Says:

Something tells me upon your exit there was some disappointment in the room. :)

A splash of Grandeur is a perfect self compliment!

I hope you’re doing well and enjoying life! Have a great weekend.

Realizing such things is discovering yourself and this is a step towards wisdom. You may consider yourself a little wiser than before. I wish I knew that much about me.

Oh yes, nothing to do with majesty…but a *large* doze of don’t mess with me, I’d say!

Other thing you can’t put your finger on? Could it be trusting your instinct so much, that you’re comfortable with anyone else’s…

    …confidence is a beautiful thing.

    Congratulations on finding this ;)

I manage in varying degrees, depending on the situation.

This photo also reminds me, when you first posted these shoes, I’d just bought a pair just like them myself.

PS - Can you believe it’s been 1 year since I was there? Come visit, okay?

I think that only through true self confidence, does grace arrive… it cannot be faked. I love the pic with this post… I wonder exactly what sort of room you were entering and exiting with grandeur.

i like your new blog look!

i have never thought about how i enter a room.

mine would probably be a wat to not be noticed.

my daughter has entered a writing contest. as a writer yourself, could you take a peek at the link on my blog and tell her what you think?

  20. Connie Says:

I can’t help but think when you walk into the room every head would look up and notice you. Maybe you have owned the room all along but you found the confidence to look back.

I love your new look on your blog. You are very creative.

    Hugs,
    Connie

    Love the shoes.
I have reached a state of grace where entries and exits are no longer a problem. I observe the uneasiness in people who want to be seen but at the same time don’t want to be seen and are stuck in ambivalence.

  22. Richard Says:

I hope you were wearing those perfect yellow shoes when you came and went … I am happy I made it here today for my much needed dose of Chloe.

    Best …
