Grapes (sweet, not sour)

Isn’t it bothersome, when people lie to you, and you pretend not to have noticed in order to be kind, and they think they are smarter than you? Or maybe, they don’t even bother that you know. Because they are losing their humanity.

There is a point when you lose your humanity, maybe momentarily, maybe for life, but it is as visible to people who know you, as if you had suddenly grown a second head.

I posted something like this some time ago, when some one said and did something to me.
    What has happened, Chloe?
Who has grown the second head?

  2. Papa Says:

This is why the worst parts of Dante’s Inferno is reserved for, liars, hypocrites, falsifiers, etc.

  3. Joanna Says:

Someone as enlightened as you should never be made to feel this way, my dear.

Alas, though, two-headed non-humans are becoming the norm these days, just as much as non-human relationships based on “I’m smarter than you” power plays. The truth is, though, the two-headed ones are the ignorant ones, the ones who have lost any sense of judgment and the humanizing sense of curiosity that comes with looking for knowledge. Hubris is not an intelligent quality, hence its inimitable effect of making its practitioners both ugly and ridiculous.

I’m going through a situation like that at the moment. It’s not just bothersome, in this case, it’s heartbreaking. I hate it when people try to pull the wool over my eyes.

    Totally!

Sometimes you just can’t help but ignore those who blatantly are stupid by choice..

isn’t growing up part of losing one’s humanity? we’re never truly ourselves after a certain age…

liars are boring and spineless though.

I absolutely hate it. However; biting one’s tongue always helps… because as soon as the time comes when they realise just how much they have underestimated you, it makes the patience a pleasure.

I don’t like dishonesty or deceit of any kind…………

I got rid of someone like that from my life, luckily, but it cost me. He always thought he was more clever than I; I warned him that sometimes I pretend and see how far he buries himself. He didn’t believe me and played me for a fool. But those who lie, lie first to themselves and become unrecognizable and can’t get out of the web they’ve spun.

Some people also mistake kindness for weakness, and these things are not at all synonymous.

so two heads aren’t better than one?

    *uproarious laughter*

i hate deceit and dishonesty. and the world lies to us all day, everyday, everywhere. look around you when you’re out there. it’s all lies. watch the tv commercials. listen to the politicians. look at the ads in your magazine. look at the cereal box. lies lies lies.

    humanity is lost.

  12. Yuva Says:

true… Humanity is lost not when we are told lies but (whatever) act was committed.

but its tolerance act gives the impression that we lost our humanity…

tolerate habits but not irrational values…

I think sometimes there comes a time in one’s life when one stops caring what people think.

For some of us, it means we can stop working so hard to please those we will never be able to please…in more sinister form, we start to see the true faces of people who used to bother to cover their worst traits up.
