I have been tidying up the computer because Stephanie is coming and I don’t want it to be a mess. Especially the music folders. At some point I should do the same about the house but for some reason I thought the computer was more important. Anyway, the reason I am bringing this up is because I found I have a folder named Nicole. That’s where I put all the Nicole Kidman photos I find. It’s about 1G (I have other DVDs from previous years named Nicole 1, Nicole 2, etc). Why am I such a sad individual? I am not a teenager, I am not a stalker (although Okkervil River would disagree but that’s a story for another post), yet I have this incomprehensible urge to collect every single Nicole Kidman picture I find. Why do I do this? I don’t search for news about her and I only know what everybody knows about her. For example, that she is very tall and used to be married to Tom Cruise and now is married to a country music star. What drives my hand to right click on her photos and save them? And why have I been doing this for 5 years? Most importantly, if Nicole Kidman goes on to play in more movies and collect more awards, will I need IBM’s Deep Blue to store all these photos?

It is because she is your secret twin sister. You were separated at birth and, one day, you will be reunited. It will be covered live on all the international networks and satellite tv stations. And Nicole will learn of your 1G of photos and you will learn of her 20MB of Chloe photos from past iterations of Froth that she has been storing for so many years without knowing why. And we will all have a tear in our eye as watch you two really connect and know that, truly, you are sisters cut from the same cloth. It will be a beautiful thing.

Makes sense to tidy up the computer…after all, what other part of the house is so important? The Nicole photos, I’m not so sure about, but it sounds like at least the photos are tidy!

My Ma is a Nicole-ophile by association, because she is really a Keith Urban fanatic. There was a rumor that the two of them were going to move very close to our old town, and she almost died of desperation.

There is a thing about beauty that can’t be forgotten - we all appreciate it and some of us try to collect it. I have had similar hobbies…it’s just a hobbie, I tell myself, it’s not an obsession

It’s usually my flat that I tidy up when I expect visitors… nobody is allowed to touch my computer, so even if it’s a mess sometimes, I know exactly where to find what…
I used to collect loads of pictures of Heather Locklear (Melrose Place), I was actually quite proud of my collection. Nowadays I also have a folder called “Robbie”… no, we’re no teenagers, but we’ve got dreams, and these folders bring us to our other world… enjoy it Chloe!

I think there’s a storage device out there to hold all your Nicole Kidman images. As to why you keep copies of her images, that’s simple. You’re keeping an eye on the only competition out there.
