Friends, Work

It’s all in the title, to save you the trouble. I am weary. No fun for many days in a row. Just endless typing and phone calls for work. Some prolonged bus rides too. More smelly people. Bills and chores. Weird dreams (why would all my orange hair fall and grow back in seconds?) Can someone amuse me please? I am easily amused. One good thing: My computer is back and now we can proceed with the cds we were making, you and I. Another good thing (great actually): Cathy gave me an Amazon gift certificate and here’s what I chose: -The Jane Austen Cookbook, written by a food historian and an Austenian scholar. -Jane Austen: A Life -Will Write for Food, a guide to writing cookbooks Isn’t she lovely? Thank you Cathy. I am going to make such a fine mess in the kitchen cooking Jane Austen’s foods. And did I mention my friend from Texas, who sent me shortbread and chocolate and my cow Mooly? And sweet Barrett sent me a nice package with music, tea, butterflies, and wishes in a little red velvet envelope. Now you are never going to believe I need to be enternained, are you?

It must be a symbol of retrieving something good once lost, like a computer, I guess. And there is everything good about orange hair!

Sounds like I am having the same kind of week, unfortunately. I am afraid that I am not much of a companion these days; no amusement from this end, I’m afraid….

P.S. I need that drink; it is making my mouth water.
