There was a meeting for parents and teachers at my son’s school yesterday. We sat at the desks and waited to meet the teacher for the first time. I placed my pen neatly above my notebook, and there she came. It’s a shame this woman is wasted on kids. She would have made an excellent Hitchcock heroine. Blonde, tall, thin, with a shining in her eyes. With a bright smile, cold and tough, determined and extremely clever, this woman has her colleagues stand in awe. The school director is afraid of her too. I have an endearing name for this kind of woman (although the blonde, tall, thin part does not always apply): Frau Blucher. As Frau Blucher started talking, explaining her teaching methods, giving handouts and making charts, I found myself sulking in my chair. Do not notice me Frau Blucher, do not ask me anything. All these feelings I had hid in my mind’s school drawer, surfaced “Love me teacher, but do not hurt me.” So I pretended to be taking notes, when I noticed an identical painting to this on the wall behind her, made by a sloppy kid obviously, who I hope was reprimanded accordingly:
I love you too, Frau Blucher.

What a delightful tribute! Maybe nobody ever told her…if only Hitchcock waltzed in…then she would have been his star! Though it seems she had a good audience starring in her classroom!
Your writing is very clever!!

I couldn’t tell if you were being sarcastic; do you really love her?…it is too early in the morning her for me to think properly yet.

Agree with Cathy, at first I thought you liked her, now I’m not so sure… Ruthlessly efficient ladies may not be too bad, though, if they also know the meaning of ‘empathy’… Our Jakob’s teacher is very strict, but a fantastic and loving woman as well. The kids love and respect her

No i really liked her. You don’t often meet people who know exactly what they are doing and why.
She looks as if nothing can harm her and as if she has everything under control. It’s an enormous sense of security. She doesn’t look very motherly, but that’s okay, she is not their mum, she’s their teacher.
Tongue in cheek
hello! welcome
thanks. do you think i should tell her? or write I love you miss in “blood”, like her student?
Cathy
