The sand comment…I hadn’t ever though about that. And I think that now I’ll go away and not think about it again. ;-) The ‘where to lunch’ problem is also wonderful. The best is when it’s accompanied by the ‘where to dinner’ and ‘where to breakfast’ and ‘where to have coffee’ and ‘where to snack’ problems. Those are the best (especially the ‘where to breakfast’ one, but you’ll be able to read about the lack of breakfast in China at some point in the sort of near future).

    I am glad I am not a woman. ^_-

  3. blackcrag Says:

Poor gynecologist! Isn’t the sand itchy in the intreim?

As for the cell phones, I think they should be banned on vacations! Vacation is where you go to get away from it all, not be in touch with everyone every second of the day. There is nothing more un-relaxing than a cell phone ringing.

  4. Devil Mood Says:

    lol that’s very funny!!
And the pictures are just…oh dear, I’m running out of words!
I like the smell of my sunscreen, it’s l’oreal. And I really hate yesterday’s papers, especially when they stay in the sun and get all yellow and crispy. ugh..

  5. sophie Says:

    ok that’s it
…you could be a stand up
    comic.

    The Chloe Show.

Corona’s and ice cream…you’re painting a picture of near perfection (the pictures themselves…perfection)

  8. holy chaos Says:

    too funny, chloe!

  9. Donna Says:

Yes, all true, both lists. Although I have to admit I was disappointed there was no picture of Winnie the Pooh when I got here. [:o)

  10. True Blue Guy Says:

ha ha, the sand comment in funny - well for me now, i am connected to the internet anywhere in the US with my lovely broadband card - i can be in my car, airport or in a bar and if i need to be connected i still can - gotta love technology

    missed you tonnes :)

  11. Greg Mills Says:

The where to lunch problem is hugely emotional for some people. Vacation spots always feature one family or couple vexed and disgusted by each other’s inability to choose. Meals. Feh.

  12. Wriju Says:

Its amazing that there is so much variety in this place. Ice cream caves, the seaside, beautiful houses. Wow!

  13. Ben Heller Says:

Those are funny and very apt little points about holiday experiences. I agree with all of them except one.
For some reason I love the smell of sunscreen, I don’t know why.

  14. Jean-Luc Picard Says:

Having just come from vacation, I recognise a couple of them. Not the sand one, though!

  15. Jemima Says:

I love the smell of sunscreen, takes me immediately into holiday mode. English holiday. Vacation, I mean. This language is hard.

So I’ll sniff the suncream, sip at alcohol in the day, munch on ice cream whether I want it or not, lazily devour nice lunches I don’t have to prepare or clean up after AND look at your gorgeous pictures. Almost as good as having a holiday on a nice beach of my own. Very close. And no travelling or sand, Yay!

  16. Heidi Says:

    Too funny..Gyno and sand..lol

  17. Connie and Rob Says:

    Chloe,
I had to erase one of my comments. I was up in the middle of the night writing strange things again…sorry. You would have laughed if you already didn’t.

Anyway what I wanted to say was that as long as they have shops, ice cream and a diet coke you can take me anywhere with no complaints.

    Pictures are way pretty.

    Hugs,
    Connie

  18. justacoolcat Says:

Next time don’t forget to put me in your suitcase. Sounds like a great trip and the pics were grand as usual.

  19. DBA Lehane Says:

Come on you male of the species…we’ve all found sand where we would rather not find it! ;)

  20. Scholiast Says:

I’m with you on the candy - and the pooh - except I really love the smell of sunscreen, it tells me that I’m not dreaming, it is, in fact, summer (I need to be sure of this, as it’s so short over here).. And the sand? I used to not wash my beach towel after I’d been to Crete, so I could keep it in a safe place, and just take it out every now and then, to smell the sunscreen, the salt water and feel the sand in it…

    - I really do need another trip to Greece, I think…

  21. Cathy Says:

    Hello dear…
I am back, but not back.
Back in my clean house, though :)
    Talk soon.

  23. Phil Says:

LOL! You are still a brilliant photographer!

P>S> I intentionally failed the word verification to get an easier one. The first was like 12 letters long.

  24. zona boy Says:

my gyno ALWAYS gives me a hassle on my sand content.

  25. Sara Says:

Great list! The bad coffee on vacation sometimes makes me want to stay home! :) I love the pics Chloe they are beautiful, thanks for sharing.

  26. fb Says:

The pictures make the holiday/vacation surely though.

All the cons in the world are surpassed by the scenery and the fact that you have your son and husband there to share it with.

  27. mini-vinnie-me Says:

    Vacation pooh alright…sand Yuk.
I used to surf, which I loved so much, but I hated the beach and damn sand.
    Tirade over.

    Awesome shots.

  28. Stephanie Says:

One of the reasons I like the place I’ve gone to in Wyoming so much is that there is no mobile service. NONE! No phone at all, actually, except one satellite one in the office for emergencies. It is heaven on earth.

  29. Kunstemæcker Says:

  30. daria l'orange Says:

Ouchie sandy! Is that how pearls are made? As for the rest: where there is candy I suppose there is always pooh (think of PEZ)…but nice to have a vacation right?

Am still enjoying your CD immensely. The songs make me laugh my head off while driving. Then it flies out the window and I have to go back and get it.
