M wants us to go to the gay pride festival. I am all for that, I just don’t know if I want to go to the gay pride parade, and look like a dwarf among all the beautiful, long legged drag queens. No, I am joking, I don’t have a problem with dwarves either. I have heels you know. My friend Joe is djing tonight and we are going to see him, cheer him up and make fun of him, in that order. I might have a pleasant guest over on Sunday. We are not sure if she is coming yet, but if she does, she will be my first blogfriend from another country that steps through the looking glass and into my reality.
My mouse won’t accept a normal mousepad. It only functions with a padded envelope. I have all kinds of really beautiful mousepads, flowery, Little Prince, Hello Kitty, etc, but no, my mouse doesn’t like them and refuses to move. By the way, I have messed with the photo, my mouse isn’t actually pink, nor is my keyboard lime. The nice mum whose son played with mine yesterday was nice indeed. So nice I wanted to tell her I have a blog. This always happens to me. I feel as if at some point, I have to quit playing regular mummy and admit I am a blogger anonymous to anyone who is half decent to me. Thankfully, I keep my mouth shut by drinking a bit more on these occasions.
I have the best friends. Fuff sent me these Hello Kitty cards because I am a Hello Kitty collector (arrested development). Thank you Fuffy. And Maddy sent me a romantic card with beautiful words, because, well, that’s Maddy, she always finds beauty around her. Thank you persisting star.
My friends help me open doors. My keys are adding a ton to the weight I carry around every day but I wouldn’t change them. Here, you see the key ring Connie sent me sometime ago, along with a handmade card. I love Connie. In the same set of keys, there is Meow’s little Australia and Fb’s frog.

Festivals are great, but I’m not a parade person. It looks like you need an optical mouse or a large padded Hello Kitty envelope.
June 23rd, 2006 at 2:03 pm
You’re so cool and you attract such cool people, Chloe xx
Enjoy the festival if you are going!

I feel as thought I have been gone forever. My life was a book this week. Now I am plopped back into reality. Hard sometimes, this.
I need to catch up.
New friends, and blog friends visiting?…this is exciting. Please tell us, who is perhaps coming over this Sunday? I fear I can not really blog about my week I’ve just had (properly, anyway…) so I will hold off a bit until I just blog nonsense again.
I’ve missed you.xoxo
June 23rd, 2006 at 2:36 pm
I had the pink card for, I think, my 27th.
That’s all I have to say.
June 23rd, 2006 at 3:25 pm
My question is: is it dwarves? Or dwarfs? Or can it be both?
June 23rd, 2006 at 3:32 pm
What beautiful items you have.
And let us know how it goes if you have a blogging guest…I’ll be in several places over the next few months where I could potentially meet people I only know from the blogosphere, and I’m undecided about whether blogging friends should meet, or if it’s better to somehow ‘maintain the mystery’.
June 23rd, 2006 at 6:44 pm
the only problem with going to gay festivals is that you are assumed gay by association. it’s ok if you’re just there to have fun, but being hit on constantly by people you are not even remotely interested in takes some of that away sometimes…
June 23rd, 2006 at 8:05 pm
I know a few people who carry more key chains then keys. My I have minamized mine as best I can
June 23rd, 2006 at 8:20 pm
Didn’t get the first ones then? I would like to shoot ELTA.
June 23rd, 2006 at 11:21 pm

June 24th, 2006 at 1:06 am
Hi-lo mouse.

justacoolcat
i am not a parade person either.
a hello kitty mouse would be what i’d really like!
missy
missy please you make me blush.
i’d love to go, it’s only the 2nd time it is held in Athens and i’d like to support my gay friends.
Cathy
you have been gone forever. and what you say makes me sad. why do you need to blog nonsense? but i emailed you. missed you lots.
jvs
people should get Hello Kitty cards until they are 55. They should switch to little prince paraphernalia then, who is more grown up.
wcdixon
i say scarf-scarves so dwarf-dwarves is natural to me. I read in Reference.com that both are correct.
kimananda
i don’t believe in maintaining the mystery. when i confess personal things online i don’t want others to have misconceptions about who i am. there’s going to follow a period when you are in minor shock, because some things are going to be different, but then, all these friends are going to be real, or they are simply not going to be friends.
moondog
i know what you mean. i don’t mind it really if people assume i am gay. although it doesn’t really happen because i am with M and we hold hands. Gay and straight people should realize their respective festivals, bars, restaurants, whatever, are not ghettos.
Day
i am one of those people!
fuff
i didn’t! but i got a notice from ELTA saying they have something for me at the post office. So it must be that and i am going to go and collect it. Thanks Fuff!! smooch xxx
Lily
thank you! what would a clear clue be? i have no idea!
maddy
beautiful new profile picture!
June 24th, 2006 at 3:39 am
Chloe, it is so sweet that you carry all those things around on your keychain. Thank you.
I love your pink mouse … it is too cute !!
I don’t use a mouse pad of any sort … I have an optical mouse, and it is happy with just the desk top.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Take care, Meow
June 24th, 2006 at 6:42 am
Wow! That is a serious key ring. You’ll have to tell us what it’s like when you meet your blog friend. I’ve always wanted to throw a huge party for all my blog friends. I wrote a story about that for New years I think.
June 24th, 2006 at 8:04 am
That’s great: your friends open doors for you, I really like that. I feel silly now because I was going to add a hello kitty picture to the envelope I sent you, but then I didn’t.
Next time!
You wouldn’t look like a dwarf at the gay parade! You’d look stunning, you’re a woman, for God’s sake
June 24th, 2006 at 8:24 am
Hi Chloe,
My first visit to your blog… Isn’t it cool how, once you start blogging, you develop this little bloggin’ family? In my experience they’ve been extremely clever and funny and thoughtful - and most - darn good writers!
Love you blog,
Amy
June 24th, 2006 at 11:27 am
Isn’t it funny, even our computers have their tempremental idiosyncracies.
June 24th, 2006 at 1:20 pm
did you go to the festival? and if so, did you wear heels? lol.
i hope to be the second blogfriend to step into chloe’s world. soon maybe.
gina
bloggers anonymous unite!!
June 24th, 2006 at 2:55 pm
I was thinking how I used to have a hello kitty on my desk at work. Something about that face just made you in a better mood. How can anyone be upset looking at her???
June 25th, 2006 at 12:31 am
My sweet friend Chloe,
I am so glad you like my silly home-made card and that you carry my key chain with you. You always know what to say to make me feel special. I love you too!!
Hugs,
Connie

How exciting, meeting a blog friend! Can’t wait to hear all about it :o)
You have some wonderful “Hello Kitty” cards. I have a Hello Kitty toaster, the toast comes out with a hello kitty face :o)
June 25th, 2006 at 2:47 am
When you go into building over here you have to take off youre shoes. At my hogwan the teachers then put on a pair of slippers. I was gifted a nice pair of hello kitty slippers! I look great in them
June 25th, 2006 at 7:10 am
Did you go? Did you meet the blogger?
I do think bloggers should meet…definitely! It’s when it happens the other way around (real-life people stumble upon the blog) that it terrifies me.
Our trendy shopping street has a store devoted to nothing but Hello Kitty. I tried to google it, but I got…other stuff.
June 25th, 2006 at 8:09 am
The blog is looking amazing.
June 25th, 2006 at 8:39 am
Oh Chloe I’m so curious about your blogfriend visiting..Do we know him or her?
What a great idea for an alternate mouse pad..I would have never thought of using a bubble envelope..^5~
June 25th, 2006 at 12:01 pm
I hope you had a chance to go to your festival - it’s enough to smile for weeks about :D. We just had our Pride festival here last Sunday on the grounds of our local zoo. There was some great music and the few that did come out for the event (no pun intended) were all such great people.
I have this mousepad and I’m so bummed my mouse doesn’t work on it either.
I’m a collector too ;).
June 25th, 2006 at 2:41 pm
this is such a cool picture .. the tope one .. awesome .. mann the plac eu live is full of colors and art and design
June 25th, 2006 at 2:46 pm
Optical mice won’t work well on any surface that is reflective or has a uniform repeating pattern. I know this because I tested out different patterns with my laser printer, and the uniform patterns freaked the mouse out. They need variety and texture.
June 25th, 2006 at 6:30 pm
All those pics and beautiful posts - yours is the most beautiful blog in the whole world
June 25th, 2006 at 9:40 pm
First time here, and I must say, I’m impressed with your blog! Everything looks so… pretty!
Gay pride festivals are great (yeah, probably sounds a bit suspicious after my above comment) but seriously, I went with a gay friend of mine once and it was a blast.
It’s also a good self-esteem boost when you’re hit on by the opposite sex. Doubles your chances for compliments, woo! Hehe
I like your keyrings! Haha. I have too many myself, so I have to cull them every once in a while.
June 25th, 2006 at 9:41 pm
opposite sex? I meant same sex. Shit that didn’t come out well. Hahahaha.
June 26th, 2006 at 4:45 am
meow
it’s not really pink. i made it pink in photoshop
phil
i remember your story quite clearly. i was invited!my friend came and she is wonderful. we didn’t have much time together because she is leaving today, but she was like i thought she’d be and better.
devil mood
hello kitty was born for me.
by the way, we were all rooting for Portugal last night (Sunday). I am glad you won. However, now that you are playing against England, i don’t know, i am torn!
Amy
welcome. it’s great to see new people here. i went to your blog. you write beautifully Amy.
angel
yep they have personalities.
gina
i didn’t go. M had to see his friend about a broken laptop.
but i saw my blogfriend. she is lovely.
day
true! and to me it also does one more thing: it amuses me i still like it at my age, so that puts me in a good mood instantly.
Connie
it wasn’t silly, it was very well made. You are a pro.
So glad you are back. xxxxxx
Michelle

Steve
i am starting to love Koreans for treating you so well and for having such a great taste in slippers.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
i emailed you back but it keeps returning back to me
Stephanie
she came over and we met. she is great. a lovely girl.
Ruben
hey Ruben, welcome back. thanks xx
heidi
i just saw that it didn’t respond to smooth surfaces very well. it could have been anything. Now, i use my nice mousepad as a coaster.
hellokittn
welcome! your mousepad is actually a cat. that’s why it won’t cooperate with your mouse.
Your blog is very nice.
Nabeel
street art used to be nonexistent in Athens but it is catching up the last couple of years. We have some really good artists.
Jack
you have to get the mouse first and buy furniture to match it, later.
Wriju
you are the most beautiful blog reader in the whole wide world (www)
jeut
thanks for stopping by
hahaaaaha. opposite, same, whatever, as long as it is sex.
June 26th, 2006 at 1:18 pm
Most non-shagpile carpets should work quite well with optical mice. Since I’ve had a wireless mouse I have has a chance to test it on a variety of surfaces.
June 26th, 2006 at 3:42 pm
You can’t have too much Hello Kitty stuff… I guess.
June 26th, 2006 at 4:07 pm
Hope the festival was fun! hey, I liked all your pics on Flicker!
June 26th, 2006 at 7:50 pm
“My friends help me open doors. My keys are adding a ton to the weight I carry around every day but I wouldn’t change them.”
Is this metaphorical? I like the idea of friends broadening horizons. Friends also provide you direction. I recently used your compass when travelling around the big city and it was a huge help. Thanks.
June 27th, 2006 at 5:24 am
Chloe, I understand that your torn, I didn’t want to play England either…But that’s life
