I have only had 3 hours of sleep, so please bear with me. First, look to your left. See a red button? If you push it, the blog explodes and transports you to a page full of links. I am a links junkie so if you find one that doesn’t work, please send a comment or an email and if you know of an interesting link, share it with me.
I went on another job interview which was conducted in the corridors of the actual offices but by a very nice lady. The only thing I can say is that while I was writing a sample press release (something like a test), another woman was doing vocal singing exercises next to me: "La, Lo, Le, Lo Ma, Mo, Me, Mo Ta, To, Te, To" etc.
The sane world, the regular world, moves in parallel orbit to me. I can see it, but our orbits don’t cross. That’s why I make couscous salads and watermelon refreshers. Cooking exerts some control over reality. There are rules and there is karma. Cheap oil smells bad, old, stale mushrooms make food taste horrible. It’s that simple.
STOP THE PRESSES Song of the week:
The brand new single Supermassive black hole by Muse who are the coolest for playing on the 28th of June for free. They are back! (I know you don’t care but I just want to jump up and down for joy. Not recommended at my age).

I dont press red buttons as in the movies something bad always happens.
Im not on MSN as I don’t know how to from here!!! There is no need to worry though I have used the internet to met a few local Americans on Friday and Im just a whinger who exaggerates. Its hard not to have spoken to someone properly for over a week, and I long for meaningless rubbish right now but Im still happy and content

Steve, i see you on WEB MSN and talk to you but you can’t see me it seems. Because it happened the other day too.
I emailed you. xx

“the regular world moves in
parallel orbit to me…”
excellent line!
i love links so i shall

to the regular world…

“If you push it, the blog explodes and transports you to a page full of links” lol…that is sooo neat. even if you said “don’t push the red button because you will get lost in a dark hole…”…i would still be tempted to press it! lol. buttons are sooo tempting. anyways, thanks so much for the warm welcome. btw, i’ve heard there are no words that rhyme with “month”. is that true?? lol.
ps-”stale mushrooms make food taste horrible” lol. tou chay

I pressed it and there’s a massive list!!
I’m keep it in mind whenever I need to look for something, it looks like everything’s there.
The karma in the kitchen, there’s another thing I never thought about. I should try to cook more. I think I’ve already asked you this but have you read Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel? There’s a lot to be said about cooking there.

I love the button. Of course, now I want to do “Don’t push it!” one
Your parallel world sounds like the one many find moments in movies come from. Don’t know how I’d feel about living in it every day…

I like the idea of a red button, or an self destructing blog. I may introduce a feature on 20__ that allows users to vote to delete something permanently. The main problem would be stopping bored people from deleting stuff for fun.
Glad you included open source in your list ;-).

Karma in cooking! Excellent observation!
Nice blog!
June 21st, 2006 at 1:40 pm
I pressed it aand it felt so good! LOL!
June 21st, 2006 at 2:13 pm
( i loved like water for chocolate)
Bad olive oil is useless. gotta spend money for good olive oil. i love cooking too, but not the rules part of it. i dont love rules. anarchist.
take a tylenol pm tonight, sleepy girl. and i hope you get the job.
June 21st, 2006 at 2:51 pm
chloe, I pushed the button and I got a blank page-No links. I am linkless! Argh!
You’re too polite, chloe. You don’t let the regular world move in arallel, you barge on over and crash into it! I do when I can muster the energy.
This must have been a job at some talent agency, or maybe a theatre? It sounds like fun!
June 21st, 2006 at 3:54 pm
I pushed the button and saw all your links, especially liked those of art..
You seem to be a bit down, can I offer you a recipe with a sense of mushrooms?
Pizza with tartufo oil and rocket.
Bake your pizza, before serving spray it with tartufo oil put fresh rocket and slices of parmezan on top and eat it..Divine

Apparently the new album is a let down.
*sigh*
I haven’t heard it yet and like you, I really like the single and can’t for them to tour the new album, whatever it sounds like.
June 21st, 2006 at 6:54 pm
the title reminds me of Dextor’s Laboratory .. when DIDI pushes buttons (most of them red) .. saying oo what does this button do?
June 21st, 2006 at 7:44 pm
Chloe..You know that I’m going through all this information overload and
it’s causing me so much stress…I’ll tell u one thing, after pushing the button I once again come upon Information Overload but this is not stressful and all positive.. Thankyou

I just stumbled into your blog. I like it, so I thought I’d leave a fingerprint.
June 21st, 2006 at 9:44 pm
Say hi to the Muse for me. I hope they make you cry with beautiful music (not with sadness). That interview definitely sounds very odd. Now which side of the line are you looking to stand on: PR or journalist?
June 22nd, 2006 at 6:28 am
just sayin
you are so sweet!
maddy
the links are for you to explore and for me. they used to be all over the place in my bookmarks and i thought they would be more useful that way.
yanas
the rhymezone says there is no perfect rhyme for the month. there are near rhymes but we want PERFECT!
Devil
i haven’t! i should, i should, thanks.
stephanie
it’s a parallel world in the sense that i know what is normal -for me of course- and i see it, but i live in this country and in this city where normality is something else, something that has to do largely with getting your own way at all times.
Toerson
i am a huge advocate of open source. i think it’s the only way.
jackt
welcome! thank you.
skyeblue
i know! it’s because it’s a big, fat, red button. i like pressing it too.
gina
i hope i won’t get this particular job. i did my best but i don’t like it all that much. you’ve got to know the rules before you can break them. Erm, that’s another rule
Crag
you are close. it’s a big big organization but the job is writing press releases. not very creative.
marina
i think pizza has the power to raise the dead. i’ll try it xxx
bedshaped
i read good things about the album. haven’t listened to it though. have you? but i loved the single and the truth is i had missed Bellamy sooo much!
nabeel
hehe, i might change it from time to time to do something else, as a surprise. or i may add a surprise button you won’t know what it is unless you press it. hey you’ve given me an idea! thanks.
heidi
nice girl heidi! when i am stressed i read Go Fug Yourself (it’s in the fun category). I laugh out loud every time.
chris
welcome, nice fingerprint you left there.
Barrett
now that the Muse are back, it’s my turn to ask you: when are you going to sing to me again? why did i buy season tickets for if not for the whole season?
xx

I pressed the button and saw Gawker. That’s funny, I didn’t think you were one of those clebrity nuts. ^_-
June 22nd, 2006 at 12:30 pm
100 links on food and just one Gawker makes me a celebrity nut? not fair
June 22nd, 2006 at 6:19 pm
Don’t frown! I winked, see? ^_- [wink wink]
June 24th, 2006 at 1:01 pm
