Friends

I got a marvellous package from Gina. With a card, cd, chocolate, envelopes with my initials, stickers and fantastic cooking magazines, which I am currently reading (I already sent the magazine my recipe suggestions for the next issue and I included two from the ones you sent me Gina). And my friend Scholiast, sent me a card from Berlin (thank you!), where she had been on a trip. No, I have never been to Berlin, Scholiast, but I’d love to. Especially with my sister, like you did. Finally, Zona Boy, who is my official card sender and I am grateful for that, sent me five cards from his road trip adventure. I like them all, but my favourite is the Wigwam Motel, with the vintage cars parked outside. Thank you Boy. Sarafina tagged me with the "I" tag. Now you know how much I hate to talk about myself (ha) but I simply had to. Tag yourselves. I AM: happy today I SAID: "Yippee! Cooking magazines!" today (thanks Gina!) I WANT: all the love I can get. I WISH: I could see you all in a big party. I MISS: Scotland and some people I don’t see anymore. I HEAR: at the moment Stina Nordenstam ("Sailing") on Last Fm and birds. I WONDER: if I am ever going to be rich (moderately, not filthy rich). I REGRET: rien. I AM NOT: motivated enough. I DANCE: like a penguin. I SING: like a mouse and out of tune. I CRY: and sometimes I don’t even know why. I AM NOT ALWAYS: Friendly. Sometimes I keep people at a distance. I MAKE WITH MY HANDS: food, cards, detergents. I WRITE: because I need to. I CONFUSE: basic things, like what the time is when there are latin numbers on the watch/clock. I NEED: fun fun fun. I SHOULD: sleep more. I START: cooking something and it turns into something else. I FINISH: other people’s sentences.

And M. gave me this chocolate. It’s gone now.

i had no idea! really? are you in Edi? i thought you were in Athens.
I did postgraduate studies in Edinburgh. It’s my favourite place in the world. I miss the air, the sky that looks closer to the ground than other skies, and that smell of something constantly brewing in the city. And Scottish people, they are so nice. I miss everything!
    Thanks for the offer. :)

  9. Cathy Says:

I am in Thunder Bay, but there’s been no sign of thunder so far…instead of working, I am avoiding my colleagues and reading your blog. Much more fun.

I forgot to bring my camera with me and I feel like I’ve left a limb at home. Especially since I am going to visit an historic (well, by Canadian standards, that is..) site, called Fort Williams where they used to trade furs and the origins of the Canadian commercial enterprise began.

But now I must go before someone looks over my shoulder and sees me blogging :) There is a Finnish fellow awaiting my full attention.
    Yawn….

  10. erikku Says:

“Pleasure” as the name of a chocolate bar… That’s a no-brainer if I ever saw one.

  11. Nabeel Says:

  12. Devil Mood Says:

Lovely!! It’s funny that you mention Stina Nordenstam - I’ve been remembering her songs lately, they just pop into my head uninvited - they’re so depressing (but beautiful)…
I especially enjoyed the I dance and the I sing part :)

  13. Heidi Says:

I want you to have ” fun fun fun”…You so deserve it. :)

  14. Eternally Curious Says:

What an awesome thing to do … and to get!! May sound quirky, but I’m really, genuinely happy for you! You have some really special friends Chloe that would do such things for you simply “because”! I’m not finding the right words to say what I’m feeling. Sorry. Just … Wow!!!

  15. Sara Says:

okay so how do you make detergents with your hands?

  16. Chloe Says:

    Maddy
Gina told me not to reveal the list. So i am just telling you it’s fun. Fun as in you want to get up and dance.

    Gina
i didn’t know her. but she says some nice things about her mum in the magazine and i thought that was so sweet. thanks again. xx :)

    Angel
why do people find that annoying? if you know something go on and say it, you’ll save them the energy.
and it’s not our fault they are so predictable is it?
    :)

    Kimananda
i will, i always do, even when i make a mess, i just don’t post the messy stuff.

    Cathy!!
you are cheating on your colleagues with us bloggers!
when are you coming back? want to talk to you! xxxxx

    erikku
yep it’s pretty self explanatory. but it was yummy.
my favourite is the lime one but M didn’t know. He always forgets the important stuff!

    Nabeel
no you don’t! really? just bills?
we must do something about that. not i, the stars. :)

    Devil
i am a better dancer than i am a singer and i am a pretty awful singer. it’s not modesty, i am! i couldn’t even sing to my son when he was a baby. he would wake up crying.

    Heidi
we all deserve fun. we’ve got to fight for our right to party.

    E.C
