I know I have been overposting photos, especially photos of food. I promise to stop for a while and write deep thoughts and lyrics and talk about meaningful things. Starting tomorrow
We went out with Joe and my sister and had some dinner here. Some dinner is not the phrase to describe it. We had all the dinner in the world. In fact, I wonder, if anybody else found anything to eat, at all, last night.
These are sun dried tomatoes. They go very well with tsipouro. Ouzo is for tourists. We drink tsipouro.
This is not a dessert. It’s creamy and very salty cheese.
I love this one. It’s tomato pie. Very very salty.
This was my dessert. It’s a simple custard with an orangy flavour. Isn’t it funny how you always want to have a light dessert when you have eaten for three?
Next morning, we went to a park, nearby to see what this Spring thing is all about. Here’s M. smelling the flowers.
I wasn’t smelling the flowers, but this nice cinnamon-apple muffin.
Don’t play he loves me, he loves me not. You’re going to be disappointed.
This place that now is a big and lovely park, full of life and children playing, used to be a place of pain and death. It was used by the Nazis as an execution place. This is the monument. The wall you see, is where people had to stand to be executed. Of course this is an enclosed space now, you can’t actually play football in there, but you can see it and walk there.
My son playing football, which is soccer for all of you across the Pond.
"Left Handed People are just Different, not Problematic." Thank you left handed anarchist person. I totally agree. I used to think I was clumsy when I really am left handed.

Lovely! Thank God I just had dinner, otherwise I’d have to run and get something to eat. Why can’t portuguese gastronomy adapt to vegetarians like the greek seems to do? Because it’s all meat, meat, meat..
Don’t apologize cause we love pictures, especially yours

I love that kind of restaurant, that looks like someone’s house, only with more tables. And the food looks fabulous! You can never have too many food pictures on a blog, in my opinion.
April 9th, 2006 at 6:53 pm
please don’t stop posting pictures. it’s my daily vacation to a place I’ve never been at. and I love to see the food, too

Ok, now you’ve inspired me to make an enormous dinner… one that will likely last us through the next few days! Grazie!
April 9th, 2006 at 7:34 pm
I love all your pictures so much!
Your dinner looked so good. Good thing it is time to eat for us now. I am starving.
Beautiful pictures of Sunday. The flowers and especially the muffin were so nice. I think your son is getting taller every time I see him in a picture. A very nice looking boy.
Hugs, Connie

I just wish my husband would go places that served such interesting food. I would be willing to try it all…except the artichokes…YUCKY!
I want that sky picture for my desk top.

left handed anarchist! ROFL. love it.
i am fasting for three weeks before i come to greece ( if i ever can work it out) . everything looks so good.
we love “football” too. my obnoxious husband, who thinks he is euro calls it football all the time and confuses these country people around here. blake calls cleats “football shoes”.
please- i love the pics. do not stop!!

Love the photos. It is spring here but we don’t have any flowers or leaves on the trees yet.
Thanks for visiting…

wow, you’re right. that is ALLOT of food! lol. and all very different foods that you would see on the menus in this part of america, the only thing i was familiar with was the bean salad. that is the great thing about blogging- learning from others.
ps. very nice pics!
April 9th, 2006 at 10:10 pm
i meant NOT SEE, on the menus.
April 9th, 2006 at 10:35 pm

“Ouzo is for tourists.”
Now you tell me. And I always thought I was so cool ordering it in restaurants.
April 10th, 2006 at 2:23 am
Wowzers. Food, futbol, and Cornish Hens. In that order! Amazing!
April 10th, 2006 at 4:46 am
What a beautiful weekend you had!!! Everywhere you go is just nice! Or is it because you are extremely good at photos?
April 10th, 2006 at 6:25 am
Wow, that meal! We had Jamie’s broccoli pasta, which I always feel is morally improving for the week ahead - and very good - but it doesn’t quite measure up.
April 10th, 2006 at 6:34 am
The pictures are truly beautiful Chloe
Yesterday we took a long walk in a park, and it feels terrible that it is Monday already.
April 10th, 2006 at 7:54 am
Looks like a lovely weekend! No such thing as over-posting photos here
April 10th, 2006 at 8:29 am
Why stop with the photos when you’re such a good photographer Chloe ? Your photos are as much a representation of your life as your writing. I like both.
April 10th, 2006 at 8:59 am
Seems like it was a really nice weekend! Great food and a nice time outdoors.
I hope your week is just as nice.

Is it just me, or does M. ever not wear shades? I don’t remember seeing any picture of him without them.
Does he wear them in the shower? Does he wear them in bed?
April 10th, 2006 at 4:53 pm
The restaurant and the food look amazing! I’m all ab. the food, so pictures of food are always a delight to me, plus it’s fun to see what food in Greece is like.
April 10th, 2006 at 5:00 pm
Devil
I’m sure you have veggie things too. We have lots, they are just not served as main courses in restaurants
Kimananda
thanks for saying that. i thought there is a limited amount of food pictures you can post on a non food blog! And i was feeling a bit guilty.
Daria
sweetest one!
Connie
he is getting taller by the day. really!
i just hope he won’t be taller than i am, sooner than i expect him to. He is 8 and is already wearing teen shoe sizes.
sarafina
yes but it’s not as great as it sounds after you have eaten it. You feel sick for days and in the mood for soup.
day
won’t he go? come on, tell him i tasted Frank’s and loved it. It’s a clutlural exchange.
By the way godson loved greek pizza!
true blue
all this fat really goes too deep, i know!
gina
haha
and it really is football! it is played solely using your feet. No hands.
sjobs
you know the kind of post i’d like? “What i had for dinner” . I’d like to see that as a meme on every blog.
Vani
and i didn’t take pictures of everything on the table!
Meow
i won’t stop posting pictures, i just have to write something sometimes. And i don’t mean recipes.
have a nice week too.
Neil
i was joking a bit. it’s not just for tourists. it’s great with seafood (i’ve been told). It’s just that the aroma is so strong, i think it interferes with the food. Tsipouro is a straight drink, you drink it in shots, it is more or less neutral like vodka.
Thomas
nooo, i didn’t have cornish hens. i’m a vegetarian, unless it’s code name for something i don’t know, and let’s face it, there’s lots of things i don’t know.
Ruby
neither.
it’s because i only look at beautiful things. i ignore the rest unless i have to do something about them.
jago
i always refer to Jamie for pizza dough. I think his recipe is the best.
wriju
no, it’s not. and it’s going to be a nice Tuesday too. come on!
Stephanie
it was a nice weekend, i did all the things on my list. Well i didn’t exercise, but that’s a given with me.
Ben
my life is not full of food. is it?
my god, you’re right. it is.
Cathy
thanks. Monday was fine too. My godson was here and he is a lovely baby.
Nevets
whatever you want, whatever you say, i’ll do.
just sayin
i know, you are my cheerleader and my coach. I thank you endlessly. xx
zona
now you’re talking! exactly!
alegriadequerer
my language translator didn’t let me understand much, but this is fun!
you ask something about interior decoration. Maybe spanish speaking friends can help me understand?
Thanks for your visit too!
erikku
why he wears shades: basically he wears glasses because he is short sighted (i know, that explains everything, etc)and when he doesn’t wear regular glasses because of the sun, he has to wear shades because they are prescription sunglasses too. He wouldn’t be able to see if he didn’t.
Etchen
thanks, that’s a consolation. but really, no more food for a while (a couple of days maybe)
