My dear Connie sent me this adorable card and I got it today
The obligatory cupcake - muffin, a sweet by any other name
Got to run. I have made a promise to do a long list of things today. And I’m going to keep it. It’s part of this "I am going to get better" craze. What is coming over people and they want to make things better in Spring? Is it because nature is regenerating and you don’t want to be left behind in your winter coat?

That graffiti pic would be great in my flickr group!

Cute pics!
That card is adorable!
I hope you can make the most of your day. I’m half-resting (half meaning that I only rested in the afternoon).
March 30th, 2006 at 12:51 pm
That graffiti is a bit special…must have been a commissioned piece or are the Greek authorities more tolerant?
The Metro looks like a museum! So shiny and new!
March 30th, 2006 at 1:02 pm
Me too! I’ll send my list to you tonight
March 30th, 2006 at 2:52 pm

March 30th, 2006 at 3:42 pm
What a wonderful set of photos…especially the library (I love libraries!)…and the cupcake…and the metro (so spacious!)…and the grafitti…oh, and all of the others! You are perfect at capturing the small details that make it all happen.
March 30th, 2006 at 3:49 pm
What a great bunch of photos … I love photos !! I love the one of the library … I am a mega-book-worm, so looooove libraries !!

Now that’s a cupcake!
Did you see the solar eclipse from Greece? They said you could in Turkey, and I think that’s close to Greece…
March 30th, 2006 at 5:05 pm
I checked them out and they charge a fee of 40% of the retail price for each item sold. That means I only get 60% of each item I sell through our store. That’s high if you ask me.
Thanks anyways, I do apprechiate the thought.
March 30th, 2006 at 5:39 pm
Lovely pictures, as always.
March 30th, 2006 at 5:42 pm
Cupcakes again !!!! Thanks Chloe, and some great photos.
March 30th, 2006 at 6:22 pm
The metro station looks beautiful, almost as beautiful as the cupcake. Could this be Greece or is it lovely only through your lens?
I think you should compile your recipes into a vegetarian-vegan cookbook. The food blog is fantastic and you know how to make the food look beautiful in photos.

Fb
it’s not a commissioned piece but this particular artist has gained some status in Athens. He has made some really excellent graffiti and i am going to show you more.
Stephanie
i’ll send you my done-not done list too. and we have to make a list for tomorrow. and a list of the lists we have to make. That’s the spirit!
maddy

kimananda
i just try so desperately to find beauty in this -ugly- city
meow
no, didn’t do everything. but there’s always tomorrow. A new day, a new list.
erikku
the solar eclipse was 100% visible in Kastellorizo, a greek island near Turkey and i imagine the Turkish coast near it. It was visible in Athens but nothing to get excited about. Whereas in Kastellorizo, it was night for some minutes. real darkness.
Day
i saw that too and thought you wouldn’t like it. But then i read that you can sell a few items there if you like, and have a direct link to your own site, where all of your work is. I thought this would generate some traffic back to your own site.

fuffy!
ben
you know, there are blogs, dedicated solely to cupcakes. I know because i was looking for recipes.
joanna
:)!!!
thank you.
i think it’s my lens. and by that i mean the need to see beautiful things. sometimes i am so desperate for a little beauty, i look at the trees and say to M “look! a beautiful tree!”
Heidi
our metro is new, therefore clean.
no i didn’t do everything. i had gone too far with that list.
i’m going to be more reasonable tomorrow.
Good night all! Going to get some sleep. Now, here’s a list of the dreams i’m going to see:

Snap! I posted pictures today too.. but mine aren’t as interesting as yours.
I really like the library shot. My sister would like the grafiti pic, she takes photos of doors the way I take photos of trees.

At least here in Canada, the weather gets so much better in the Spring-time that people just can’t help leaping about with joy and high energy. And while they’ve got the energy why not clean out all the closets in the house too!
My theory only.
And have a lovely birthday!

thanks for your comment Cloe,my wife has a great sense of humour! I love your site! Is spring really hereat last? in london it is brightening up a bit and my foxes are nested down so I guess there will be cubs from both earths. this year.
March 31st, 2006 at 2:25 am
I also noticed how Athens station looks so modern. I haven’t been there for about 10 years. It looks like they’ve spent a lot of money there.
March 31st, 2006 at 11:35 am
Nice photos! Especially liked the bear card, flora and library ones.
I used to make lists, then had to drop that habit as I never could find my lists when I needed it… which would be about 15 mins after I’d made it out. :-O
Your recipes and accompanying photos sound and look delicious. I am cooking-challenged though (eg, 3 ovens blew up in my face in 3 different states over 14 years), so I’ll have to gobble up yours and others’ meals through the screen instead.
