I made cupcakes. They turned out all right but nothing historical about them.
I am making cds for friends. Because I have been fighting the blues I had neglected them. No, no, not anymore. These are concept cds. One is Spring and the other one is Beautiful. Disgusting, really. And the surprise is, there is no James Blunt at all.

I am going to take some of the money I am entitled to and the magazine had been withholding.
I submitted CVs and samples of work to various places. We’ll see.
I suggested the next food story I am going to write for the magazine to be about picnics. They said yes and I am going to make picnic food and we are going on a real picnic with the photographer and friends.
My sister is coming in the afternoon for coffee.
I want us all to be well and happy. Let’s feel good please.
P.S Speaking about Feel Good: Remember the birthday photograph where I was blowing the candles? Well, I just received an Anonymous comment telling me:
"I like the pic of you blowing out the candles. Will you blow me too?"
My Statcounter says this is someone from Canada. Region: Ontario, City: London. IP Number: 70.29.123.50 and ISP: Rogers Cable Inc. Lndn
I think it is so silly. You go figure.

I haven’t had a picnic for years - can I come?
March 29th, 2006 at 9:42 am
always welcome. but bring your own music (hint)
March 29th, 2006 at 9:54 am
I might scare everyone away - I’ve been revisiting my Nitzer Ebb back catalogue again!
March 29th, 2006 at 9:56 am
Well, there may be nothing historical about them, but they look fabulous! And Beautiful and Spring are sentiments I can get into…when Spring finally arrives (it will eventually, but it’s taking it’s time here), it will be Beautiful, just perfect for picnics in the woods!
March 29th, 2006 at 10:06 am
Are these the same cupcakes you made the other day when we were chatting? Forgive me, but they look more like muffins to me.
And I love Statcounter.

ohhhhhh Chloe - i really really
needed this post today you
have no idea…
no idea….and everything about
it - the cupcakes, the beautiful
picture of the flowers and books,
your get-up-and-make-cupcakes
attitude made me feel comforted-
and your beautiful little
elf-face boy - he is lovely-
and naughty naughty person
who left you funny - rude
comment…
smiles!
March 29th, 2006 at 10:33 am
oh - ! have fun with your
sister - have a cup on me!
March 29th, 2006 at 10:50 am
there’s two bugs on your cupcakes!!
March 29th, 2006 at 11:24 am
Chloe;
:)
You made me smile smile smile!
The sun is warm and shining here and I can feel your rejuvenation.
I love the photo of your son playing. I hope that my son likes to play with toys like this when he is older as well. I like to take photos of him when he is playing as well.
As far as the rude comment goes, London Ontario is home to one of the most obnxious and uptight Canadian communities; it doesn’t surprise me that some sex craved uptight Canadian from London made the comment; it was likely a student at the University of Western Ontario….still, very very silly.

Everytime you put nice photos of food, it’s always meal time, and I’m thinking “I could just use a cup cake or two right now”.
March 29th, 2006 at 12:20 pm
row my friend, till the end, as an old song says.
/ besides my latest personality crisis, i’ve got some good news. yesterday, i got a letter from ote, i’m entitled and invited to sign on for the new job!
Cheers!
March 29th, 2006 at 1:09 pm
Good luck with the money and job stuff. Something will turn up. Cakes look lovely, ignore cretins that leave such crass..
March 29th, 2006 at 1:11 pm
look delicious.
March 29th, 2006 at 2:54 pm

have fun with your sister…
March 29th, 2006 at 3:44 pm
Chloe, your cupcakes look wonderful. The picnic idea sounds fabulous … I bet you put on an amazing spread. Have a great day, take care, Meow
March 29th, 2006 at 3:54 pm
I really loved this post
It was very simple but it had all the right things.
And then I laughed with that anonymous comment: it’s what you get when you’re a cutie
The picture of the cupcakes, for starters, is wonderful! No James Blunt sounds great because he’s too “Autumn” for me.. We need more energy, right now
Good luck with the CVs (maybe I’ll join you in that activity of sending them soon…)!
What made me smile the most was when you said “let’s feel good please” - I really enjoyed it
March 29th, 2006 at 4:26 pm
Thanks to your Anonymous I learn two things:
1. There is a “second” London in Ontario.
2. The second Stupidity Law is accurate: “Day after day, with unceasing monotony, one is harassed in one’s activities by stupid individuals who appear suddenly and unexpectedly in the most inconvenient places and at the most improbable moments.”
March 29th, 2006 at 4:46 pm
Historical cupcakes?
You could do one of those ‘what did our ancestors eat’ articles and recipes!
March 29th, 2006 at 4:52 pm
Quiet childish of that person to say such a thing like that.
Cupcakes yummy!
Who’s targeted for these NEW CD’s?
A picnic article sounds great with spring comign up.
March 29th, 2006 at 4:54 pm
Oh and i can’t remember if I thanked you for those links you gave me. If i didn’t I will…
March 29th, 2006 at 5:23 pm
Sounds like a lovely afternoon and your picnic idea is awesome. Everyone loves a nice picnic.
March 29th, 2006 at 7:42 pm
I use to love picnics as a child. Haven’t been on one since high school. I think it’s time that I go again.
People with their lewd comments. Why do they have to ruin good posts that way.
March 29th, 2006 at 9:50 pm
Love those little kittys on top of the cupcakes!!!
Hope you had a nice day.
Connie
March 30th, 2006 at 12:01 am

March 30th, 2006 at 5:05 am

March 30th, 2006 at 7:04 am
I like the ideas of picnics. I may have a picnic as a date. That would be romantic
March 30th, 2006 at 7:45 am

Cathy
at first i laughed at the comment, then i laughed more, then i deleted it and posted it on my blog instead.
Really, i don’t mind. Far more shocking things have been said to me -well to everyone who blogs- than this.
ben
one day i’m going to be able to upload them Ben, for you.
husker

Fuff

my own private fortune teller.
meow
we’ll see. you see these things that happen just for the magazine are never as good as spontaneous get togethers. I am going to try though.
devil
i agree about the CDs. you are getting one, so you’ll know first hand
franc
i like the second law. What’s the first??
Fb
yes what did they eat? mine ate everything smothered in honey. Very disgusting.
You don’t need to thank me for links!

φιλάκια.
nevets
it is the best thing.
is this part of the new sexy you, you were talking about?
because, eating with ants is not romantic.
no, joking
ants are okay, give them a bit of bread and they’ll leave you alone.
Toerson
this batch wasn’t really good. there’s room for improvement.

The first basic law of human stupidity: “Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.”
