I received a card and this lovely snowman today all the way from Canada, from my friend Cathy. I love it when I find your mails, but nothing beats letters in the post. Thank you Cathy, he is going to be a major feature of the Christmas tree this year. This put me in a totally Christmas mood. I have been listening to Winter Wonderland and Here Comes Santa Claus all afternoon. I am definitely decorating the tree tomorrow. I know it is a bit early, but remember I’ve been ready since October.

I can make a real snowman right now. It has snowed here off and on for three days now. Does Greece ever get snow?
I like Christmas decorations. I have a little 2 ft. Christmas tree I decorate. This year I won’t as I left it behind with my other gear. I, for one, won’t be home for Christmas to see the famoly’s big tree either, or my family for that matter.

When do you open your presents?
Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

Chloe;
What a nice surprise to see it arrived! He was just in my hands a week ago. The post was quick!
So glad you like it:)

One of the radio stations here in Charleston has vowed Christmas music from now until the 25th. It’s great to drive along to.

you’re lucky! we do get snow. greece is very mountainous, so yes there is snow, just not in Athens. I’m sorry you won’t be home for christmas. can’t you have little fairy lights and candles maybe and a couple of christmas ball in a plate?
Sorry, i started decorating again, but it would bring some cheer.

On New Year’s morning, because Santa comes on New Year’s Eve when children are asleep of course. You?

It’s rare to see a a real letter arrive in the mail instead of the usual email..Cathy that was very sweet of you to send Chloe that.
Being Jewish I don’t celebrate Christmas but I luv this time of year.

Chloe;
It’s so great that your son looked us up on the map and now has an “internationalized” Christmas tree. Heidi; I have to figure out a way to get your address so I can mail one to you, too. They’re made in Nova Scotia.

Cathy is the sweetest person.
As for Christmas. To tell you the truth, what i would like would be this: That all people no matter what their religion is, celebrate all major holidays together. I’d like to know more about Jewish or Buddhist or Muslim or Hindu holidays.
Pirate
i know! after many many years of just bills arriving by snail mail, i get cards and gifts. Thanks to the friends i made here.
Cathy
thanks again, kisses-hugs

What a cute snowman! I’m going to try to make this a happy christmas, even though I’m not sure I’ll be able to get up to see family this year. Maybe I’ll even get a tree.

I just checked and it doesn’t seem to have an internet hook-up. But then again I’m really computer disabled. The station is v-100 out of Charleston, West Virginia. The site is http://www.v100.fm

That is a very cute Snowman. Cathy has excellent taste in snowmen and friends.
I started decorating a bit today for Christmas also. If you are going to do all that work…I think it is nice to do it early and enjoy it for a while.
Have fun! Connie

maybe we can have the Christmas-tree project? and send each other pictures of Christmas trees or post them all on the same day? Well you are the evil genius, so you think about it.
angel
no, you are okay, that’s what i meant, it does have a site but you can’t listen to it live, i checked. Still, thanks!
Connie
actually you are right. i used to do everything in one day but this year i think i’d like to spread it out a bit.

I think you’re allowed to decorate the christmas tree now. When I was a kid I used to do that exactly on the 1st of december. It was so exciting! I don’t know how I managed to lose all that magic through the years. It’s sad, I could do with some more enthusiasm. But enjoy the decorating!

Don’t forget to post pics of the tree after you’ve decorated it - I don’t do Christmas (not my religion), but instead vicariously enjoy the Christmases of others.
