What to do now? Drink a bit more, or eat a bit more? See, I don’t smoke. Some excess is needed badly right now. Because I am alone and everything will be brighter in the morning, but I don’t only live in the morning. I don’t smoke. Hell, I’ll smoke.

No, Chloe! Don’t go down that slippery slope, that foul habit!
Splurge on cheetos or ice cream out of the bucket instead!
But not together.
November 27th, 2005 at 6:43 pm
oh come on, just for tonight
November 27th, 2005 at 6:44 pm
Chloe;
Put the dirty thing down and have a nice drink instead…unless you have a cigar nearby?
November 27th, 2005 at 6:50 pm
no, only some of my sister’s Davidoffs . Just looking at them right now.
November 27th, 2005 at 7:57 pm
Chew a pencil.
Eat some carrots.
Eat celery.
Don’t be the boho cliche and smoke!

Finn
I admit chewing pencils is my fix but i needed something different. So i had ice cream, wine and cigarettes. All at once. xx

I was thinking about the shyness. I think the most important thing is NOT to take things personal if they don’t smile back.
November 27th, 2005 at 8:47 pm
You eat dove chocolate!!!! Hold a piece in your mouth and let it melt. It calms, it soothes, it relaxes.
November 27th, 2005 at 9:31 pm
chloe - Too bad about the time difference. I finally have a chance to sit down and visit blog-land. I don’t smoke, but understand the urge to just for the sake of doing it.
I definitely would have had a long distance glass of wine with you. I’m in the same sort of mood
Do they make wine sorbet or something? A wine and ice cream fix in one.
November 27th, 2005 at 10:40 pm

November 27th, 2005 at 11:37 pm

Its very addictive…dont try it, it will be difficult to quit. I am trying to quit smoking…but coudnt stop. Instead have something else…like ice cream, etc…
November 28th, 2005 at 2:36 am
Hmm… funny, you know, I am also looking for some kind of addiction
I want to put you on my RSS feed so I receive your latest entries. Can you turn on your site feed? Pretty please!

ΧÏειάζεσαι λόξα; Δεν το πιστεÏω! ΌμοÏφοι γυναίκες, όπως εσÎνα, δεν το χÏειάζονται!
Go out and make the day of others brighter and your own will be too!
It doesn’t take a lot!

I assume the house is spotless by now?
moondog
and you see the reaction i get! imagine if i smoked something else.
anonymous
hi chloe. i went to your site but there were no posts. I’ll try later .
amit
i smoke maybe once a month or once every two months. This has been going on for years. It’s one or two cigarettes every 40-60 days. So i don’t think i’m getting addicted on this. I hate its smell and the taste too. However, I could get addicted on ice cream. So, i’ll just have the odd cigarette now and then!
neurotic missy
you know, i have been trying to get this blog off google and other robots and rss feed does exactly the opposite, so that’s why i’m not turning it on. sorry missy!
gurgo
thanks! making someone’s day is the best fix, i know.
however, i don’t believe in happy all the time. people should be free to feel miserable from time to time. Colgate smiles are not for me, who in every other aspect, am a happy person. Just not 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
November 28th, 2005 at 8:36 am
Ah, my cure would be whisky.
Straight. Warmed in the cup of your hand. And lots of.
Or an entire tub of Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia.
x
November 28th, 2005 at 9:37 am
whisky is good.the list of comfort things is growing! thank you ladymissmarquise.
November 28th, 2005 at 10:50 am
ooh, if cherry garcia came by the tub instead of those little tiny pints i would probably weigh 600 pounds and be broke from buying all of it up. best. ice cream. ever.
November 28th, 2005 at 11:24 am
as far as i know, we don’t have it in greece. so i’m safe.
November 28th, 2005 at 3:38 pm
May I suggest some tortilla chips and salsa? Sugar and nicotine are nice enough, but sometimes salt is better. No cigarettes though…it would detract from the spiciness of the salsa.
November 28th, 2005 at 3:41 pm
i’ll remember next time i’m going to need a fix. It’s over and done with now. I smoked and had sugar. Then i had one of the infamous very late-very early baths, to take the smell off me. Not a very courageous smoker.
November 28th, 2005 at 4:49 pm
If I were you, I’d be drinking more ! - It gets me high and I go into another world
November 28th, 2005 at 5:03 pm
i can’t drink too much true blue guy. have to take care of my skin and stuff.
November 28th, 2005 at 5:08 pm
Noooooo! No smoking! Bad, stinker habit.
Food is always a great comfort. Soup is the ultimate comfort food. Cream of Mushroom, especially if you slice up some real mushrooms in it, or Tomato soup, with lots of pepper on top. Minestrone or French Canadian Split Pea soups also rank high on the list. Or a really great Onion soup!
My other great comfort is reading. I noticed Spider Girl has a fairy blog. That will comfort you!
November 28th, 2005 at 5:15 pm
blackcrag
thank you!
but i needed to do something bad. and being such a good girl, smoking is my sorry excuse for bad behaviour.
none of the good things you mentioned is bad. Unless of course, hm, the MUSHROOMS?
November 29th, 2005 at 5:22 am
No, I was suggesting wild mushrooms, not crazy mushrooms. For a different taste, you could use shitake mushrooms instead of brown mushrooms. Or make it rich and use wine and truffles.
Over eating is bad for you, because you can gain weight. Besides, gluttony is a sin. And in this instance, I am definitely a sinner. I love to eat.
I love to cook as well. If I loved doing dishes, my kitchen would be a perfect place. Unfortunately, dishes are as much a chore for me as anyone else.
