Food, Work

The magazine is out today and among other things has the recipes and photographs of the food I cooked. I scanned them, especially for Cisco who had asked for them. The first one is mushroom burgers and the other one is mushroom mousaka. The photographer is coming again tomorrow and this time I’m making pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie and pumpkin risotto with saffron. Am I Nigella or am I not?

The Daily -as in "it can take you a day to read"- Steven House Quotation-Homage to Steven House

"People’s views on sex amuse me. Everyone says they’re not sexually confident but if that is the case then everyone must be average at sex so there would be no pressure to be good or bad which means we can all be confident and yet somewhere the circle breaks down. Maybe people just don’t want to be confident in how they look or feel or act when in a sexual situation. Maybe it’s just not the ‘cool’ thing to do so, everyone pretends otherwise."

P.S Steve, sorry to have placed your adage among my vegetarian burgers

Um… can I get the recipe for those burgers? o.o

Sex is at the same time one of the silliest and one of the most wonderful things people can do. If you can’t laugh at the accidental or goofy moments, you aren’t really participating - you’re trying to live up to some image in your head (or taking yourself too seriously :D)

yes you can badger. i’ll translate it and send it to you.

    As for Steve’s saying,
Here I am with my veggie burgers and all, and Steve is stealing my thunder with his musings. I don’t care about sex, I care about my burgers. They have accidental and goofy moments too.

ha ha, maybe I should pay homage to your ideas!

Sex between burgers? Why does Elvis spring to mind at the thought of that?

The trouble with sex is people think/worry too much about it…when it’s spontaneous and natural you’ll be the best lover in the world. Trouble is…us men think about it, on average, every 9 minutes…no wonder there’s so many lousy lovers out there! :D

  5. Chloe Says:

i don’t worry about it one bit, although i think about it all the time. this is why i am waiting for old age to come, so I won’t have to think about it all the time. I hope people after 70 don’t bother with it.

How did we go from burgers to sex? I thought they were mutually exclusive

    Thank you for the pictures…….
