Blogging

I had a discussion with blondie and she told me about the things our mutual friends are taking up, like wind-surfing, which I hate, by the way. But the truth is I have invested way too much in up in the air communication and I have been living my life over the internet. Now I am the first person to say that online life is wonderful. And the net has offered me so much. I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I said I think a computer and an internet connection are more important than food to me. Well they are certainly more important than having food everyday. But I have been working on the internet in and out of the office for so many years, I have been downloading music, making friends, sharing secrets and even drinking with friends on MSN, I have been writing this blog which I love, I have been learning new things, researching, hiding from the world when the world was awful, I have found jobs, I have booked vacations, ordered books. And more. And now I feel slightly betrayed by my faith in the Net. It can’t do everything. Especially not for an over the top, over-excited, overwhelming person like me. There are many times the net just doesn’t deliver. So maybe windsurfing is not such a bad idea.
