Summer Massacre

My Malevolent Disposition

I went to the hateful beach today. I had to. All the people with the fantastic beach accessories were there, as they always are. Athens Olympics beach umbrellas, chairs, coffee in thermos, tanning lotion, face tanning lotion, after sun lotion. I listened to music, I read Marie Claire and all about the winter 2006 collections (Roland Mouret has the best clothes if you are interested), had a conversation with my sister about the universe (our universe I mean), and took photos of my son swimming. However time just can’t pass when your feet are filled with sand and your freshly washed hair smells of other people’s sun lotions and the sun is shooting you down. I hate the sand, the heat, the sun lotions, the sweat and beach culture in general. Summer is a massacre. I need to hide in a shady forest. In the Black Forest if possible and get out in November. Everything is a blur due to the heat. I am a blur too. I don’t know what creature I turn into in the summer, because I just survive.

This is my playlist for today:

Last Train – Travis

Something changed – Pulp

Not addicted- The Streets
